Join Stepan Oilfield Solutions at 10 a.m. (CDT) on Thursday, August 25, for the upcoming World Oil virtual workshop, Spontaneous Imbibition — a Forum for a Fresh Look at EOR. During this 60-minute webcast, Aaron Sanders, Ph.D., Technical Director, will cover how implementing the right surfactant blend can help tap into mobile oil that has been bypassed.
Dr. Sanders will be joined by Brian Price, Vice President – Technology, Rockwater Energy Solutions, who will speak on how to move from chemistry design to application in oil. This session will be a moderated discussion between industry experts on the benefits of spontaneous imbibition and how to move from design to application when it comes to oilfield chemistry.
About the Presenters
Aaron Sanders, Ph.D., has worked in the petrochemical industry for 19 years; eight with Stepan and 11 with Dow Chemical. He has successfully developed products across a range of upstream applications from hydraulic fracturing to enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and has authored more than 40 patents and papers. Dr. Sanders received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and a doctorate in Organic Chemistry from The University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Brian Price is Vice President of Technology for Rockwater Energy Solutions in Houston, Texas. Rockwater is a subsidiary of Select Energy Services. Mr. Price has been in the oil and gas chemical industry since 1988 and studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Southwestern Louisiana. As a thought and solutions leader, he as broad experience in chemistry related to oil and gas production, pipelines, flow assurance, completions, well stimulation and EOR. He has worked with many operators globally to provide solutions required to efficiently and safely operate in the oil and gas industry.
